fibromyalgia

What causes the pain of fibromyalgia?

With fibromyalgia, changes may occur in the nerve and brain cells. Due to these changes, people with fibromyalgia may become very sensitive to touch and feel pain more strongly. In scientific studies, it was shown that people with fibromyalgia report more intense feelings of pain. It’s as though the "volume control" for pain is turned up. In several studies it was shown that people with fibromyalgia react more strongly to pain signals than people without the condition.

How It Works

Auriculotherapy

Our goal is for our patients to be healthy, successful, and productive. Getting well requires a partnership between physician and patient. Auriculotherapy for depression and anxiety jumpstarts the brain’s own “feel good” chemistry factory to produce more endorphins. With this process activated your energy returns, interest in life returns, calmness and peace wash over you and, it can happen as early as the very first visit.

Neurological Stress Release

Neurological Stress Release reduces the tension in the spinal chord itself so that your body can function properly and return itself to homeostasis.

As one recovering workaholic/chronically anxious patient so aptly put it after her dual session, “So this is how normal people feel!”

Complementary Healing Methods

Mental Health Counseling

Your mental health professional provides the psychosocial support and medical guidance to help you reduce, eliminate, or better regulate your medicinal needs.

Nutrition

There is not enough that can be said about nutrition’s role in both physical and mental health.
