When Dr. Groman evaluates a prospective patient she attends to neurological requirements, psychological needs and relevant nutritional requirements. Next, Dr. Groman and her team propose a treatment plan, which may or may not include participation in psychological counseling and treatment programs. In her current treatment initiatives, Dr. Groman adheres to the biogenetic model proposed by Kenneth Blum and Eric Braverman. Thus she evaluates and assists in restoring and rebalancing brain chemistry, damaged by stress, drug abuse, and sometimes genetic causes. Groman focuses on the use of amino acid therapy (neurotransmitter replacement therapy) to reverse the damage of drug abuse, the use of auriculotherapy to help balance and normalize a wide range of their physiological and psychological conditions, and the use of a chiropractic torque release technique to relieve neurological stress and help rebalance the BRAIN REWARD CASCADE. She works with her patients to build a true, long-term maintenance program to ensure ongoing health with nutritional, yogic, and meditational instruction.
BRAIN
REWARD CASCADE
The Reward Site (the nucleus accumbens) in the brain is the master of simple but powerful drives. When all of the neurotransmitters, working in harmony and in conjunction with one another, stimulate the production, transportation, and reception of dopamine at the reward site, a person is calm, at ease and satisfied. Researcher, Kenneth Blum called this condition the BRAIN REWARD CASCADE. |
She is a resource for professional recovery organizations like the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN), residential rehabilitation centers, detox facilities, Intensive Outpatient programs (IOP), Partial Hospitalization programs (PHP), and human resources departments.
